Job SummaryThe Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions and excellence in project execution. This role involves functional leadership, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet corporate strategies and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Allocate resources to projects, monitor scope, and ensure delivery of quality, cost, delivery, and functional targets.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Provide functional leadership and mentorship to engineers.
- Define and manage engineering team competence and capacity according to project plans.
- Drive continuous improvement activities within the engineering teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years managing engineering teams and at least 3 years managing projects.
- Experience in the automotive, trucking, or alternative fuel industries, particularly with hydrogen and CNG.
- Strong background in project management processes (PMI/PMP certification or equivalent).
- Experience with Gated Product Development processes and engineering tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and quality system standards.
$120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
