Transforming Patient Care with Swift Medical

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to collaborate with our team at Swift Medical, a global leader in digital wound care. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will play a key role in evaluating the implementation of our innovative wound care solution in the Canadian healthcare system.

About the Project

The two-year Mitacs Accelerate Industry project will focus on understanding the adoption, integration, and scalability of our Advanced AI wound care technology (Swift-AI) at a community health system level. You will develop the study protocol, collaborate with hospital-based study sites, and disseminate findings to the scientific community and relevant clinical stakeholders and policy makers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct implementation research using the Non-adoption, Abandonment, Scale-up, Spread, and Sustainability Complexity Assessment Tool (NASSS-CAT)
  • Develop the study protocol and collaborate with hospital-based study sites
  • Disseminate findings to the scientific community and relevant clinical stakeholders and policy makers
  • Collaborate with the Government of Canada, Industry, and healthcare partners from across the country
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a related field (e.g., public health, health sciences, nursing)
  • Experience in mixed methods research, implementation science, and protocol development
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with developing evaluation protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse interested parties, including older adults, clinicians, and industry members
  • Strong writing and communication ability
  • Clinical background and wound care knowledge considered a strong asset
What We Offer
  • Work remotely from anywhere in Canada, preferably in Toronto or Ontario for on-site collaboration with Swift Medical
  • Start date: Immediately, or by arrangement
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Salary: $65,000 with additional budget for $15,000/year for project costs (site visits, conference travel, and publication fees)
