Produce Department Manager

Job Summary:
Highland Farms is seeking a highly skilled Produce Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in produce department operations and management, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute merchandising plans, including inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all produce, including regular inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed.
- Manage and lead employees, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure excellent customer service and a positive department image.
- Develop and implement effective space management and product allocation plans to maximize sales and profitability.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and employee performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in produce department operations and management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- A food handler's license.
- Strong management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cold temperatures from freezer/cooler.
