Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Field Expert to join our team in Canada, covering the regions of British Columbia and Alberta. This role will involve providing expert scientific information, presenting new findings, and capturing vital insights from the external scientific community.

About the Role:

  • Provide scientific support to clinicians by responding to their needs and questions regarding hematology malignancies.
  • Presentation of new scientific data at medical conferences, ensuring clinicians have a deep understanding of emerging science and its application to patient care.
  • Capture insights from the external scientific community, ensuring GSK's research efforts align with the latest developments and real-world clinical insights.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced post-graduate scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD), a valid Canadian driver's license, and strong fluency in both French and English.
  • Exceptional aptitude to apply and leverage scientific and medical information while establishing scientific credibility through peer-to-peer discussion and debate.
  • Independent drive, forward thinking, strategic project, and territory management focus to develop strong working relationships with external experts.
  • Excellent public speaking skills with outstanding scientific presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional people skills with a focus on teamwork and strategic execution of medical affairs plans in your respective territory.
  • Familiarity with regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals within the Canadian pharmaceutical environment.
  • Sound negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with drug reimbursement processes in Canada.
  • Ability to work independently and travel throughout the territory up to 70% of the time.
