About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Clinical Scientist - Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our Core Lab team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical and scientific results using the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing duties within Chemistry and Hematology, including analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain quality control standards, investigate missing samples, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Record, interpret, and/or approve test results.
• Hold current registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) in good standing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
• Develop solid problem-solving skills and provide recommendations for technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• Candidates with experience in the Chemistry or Hematology field are preferred.
• Familiarity with Diagnostic Accreditation standards is desirable.
• High visual requirements due to repetitive fine motor movements of hands and exposure to bio-hazardous materials.
• Shift work and occasional overtime may be required.
