Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiation Technologist, CT to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT, observing safe radiation protection practices, and monitoring patients during procedures. They will also be required to maintain accurate records, prepare examination trays, and operate computerized imaging equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform CT examinations in accordance with established procedures, including completing requisitions and related paperwork, correlating clinical history with examination, and positioning patients.
  2. Monitor patients during procedures, observing and responding to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations.
  3. Operate computerized imaging equipment, including radiography equipment and departmental information systems.
  4. Prepare examination trays, receive and stock supplies, and maintain designated work areas.
  5. Supervise and train staff, including medical residents, technologists, and students.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified Radiation Technologist, CT with a minimum of one year of recent experience in a CT department. Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography is also required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
