Client Service Associate, Private Wealth Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Associate to join our Private Wealth team at BMO. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional client service and support to our Investment Advisors, ensuring seamless day-to-day administration and helping to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate marketing activities, including website and social media initiatives, to promote our advisory team and services.
  • Schedule and prepare client portfolio reviews, including setting up client calls and preparing reviews for Investment Advisors.
  • Follow up on client inquiries, account maintenance, and new account set-ups, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client complaints.
  • Accept and execute client-initiated trades, providing stock information as requested, and handle clients' general day-to-day requests and inquiries.
  • Generate reports and documents for Investment Advisors and clients, process items for client accounts and files, and maintain and organize client databases and files.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing assets, notify Investment Advisors of required actions to rebalance portfolios, and administer and process documentation related to client files and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure transactions and tasks are appropriately assigned to team members and completed, and mentor and coach new or junior members to the team and branch.
  • Provide team members with support on technology issues, use of new technology, and general inquiries and escalations related to policies, procedures, and processing.
  • Gather and distribute information on updates to training, guidelines, technology, and other business-related information, and develop rapport and instill confidence with clients to develop credibility and promote a positive client experience.
  • Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure the safeguarding of customers' assets, maintenance of their privacy, and the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Typically between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of investment process and procedures, administrative processes and procedures, proprietary products and services, compliance practices and regulations, and trade processing rules.
  • Knowledge of insurance and group products, trust and estate services, and financial/retirement planning is an asset.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct Practices Handbook, and Wealth Management Essentials, and current registration as an Investment Representative (IR).

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $33,400.00 - $61,700.00, a salaried and commission pay type, and a comprehensive total compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
