Role Summary

The City of Yellowknife is an inclusive employer offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment that delivers valuable services to our residents. As a Municipal Enforcement Officer II, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety and ensuring compliance with local by-laws.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of the city to ensure public safety and prevent crime;
  2. Issue traffic violations and appearance notices to ensure compliance with traffic regulations;
  3. Enforce compliance with the Highway Traffic By-law and the NWT Motor Vehicles Act;
  4. Serve court documents as required;
  5. Perform traffic control to maintain public safety;
  6. Ensure compliance with City By-laws, including Dog By-law, Noise By-law, and Garbage By-law.

Requirements

Qualified applicants must possess a two-year Law Enforcement Diploma or a minimum of two years law enforcement experience. A valid Driver's Licence, Standard First Aid, and CPR Certificates are required. Applicants are required to submit a Driver's Abstract with their resume.
