Job Title: Relief ECE Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Relief ECE Teacher to join our team at Mouse Mountain Elementary. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the before and after school care program for kindergarten and primary aged students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the before and after school care program for kindergarten and primary aged students
  • Collaborate with primary teachers and kindergarten teacher to facilitate a seamless day for K & primary students
  • Design programs and environments that enhance children's cognitive, physical and social & emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with the K-1 teacher to implement evidence-informed practices that enhance student learning, inclusivity and equity of outcomes
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Early Childhood Education certificate or evidence of significant coursework in process
  • Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice; or has significant coursework completed towards licensing and the expectation receiving license within 6 - 12 months
  • Valid Emergency Child First Aid with CPR Certification
  • Valid Food Safe - Level 1 Certificate or equivalent
  • High Five, BC Athletics - Run, Jump, Throw Program
  • BC driver's license - Class 5 Full Privileged and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract
  • Two years' experience working in the Education system
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
