Job Summary:

Ya YA Foods Corp (RP0001) is seeking a skilled Plant Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide coaching and instruction to apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
  2. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in plant equipment.
  3. Construct foundations for machinery and perform routine maintenance work.
  4. Repair or replace defective machinery parts, and estimate costs and materials.
  5. Supervise other workers to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment.
  6. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, and operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
  7. Install machinery and equipment, and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  8. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.


Work Conditions:
  1. Work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  2. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is essential.
  3. Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods are required.


Required Tools and Equipment:
  1. Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety harness.
