Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking and industrial maintenance, including preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and installing windows and doors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Industrial setting experience
  • Maintenance and repair expertise
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
