Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will provide full trade support coverage to the Commodities trading desks, ensuring efficient and accurate daily processing of all commodities OTC and Exchange Traded derivatives and physical trades on Openlink systems. This involves trade validation/verification, trade reconciliation, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, daily trade resets/fixing, loading of curves and prices (MTM, settlement, and volatilities) and generation of Intraday flash trading PnL.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform trade validation for Commodities derivatives and physical trades booked into the Openlink booking systems, analyzing the downstream impact of new deals, amendments, cancellations and actively communicating issues to relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor results & exceptions, analyze underlying causes and ensure appropriate corrective action are taken to reduce the frequency of occurrence and minimize loss due to error.

• Liaise with FO and all cross-functional teams as Commodity Operations' primary contact for all queries and issues, effectively monitoring, tracking, and escalating any potential risks in a timely manner.

• Work closely with Futures/Clearing teams to identify and resolve trade breaks on a daily basis.

Intraday / End of Day / Price Reconciliation:

• Ensure successful Intraday/EOD processes within strict timelines throughout the day to mitigate any detrimental impact on downstream feeds and reports.

• Work with the relevant groups on sourcing new and missing prices from available publication sources.

• Perform daily checks for Dodd Frank / EMIR / CSA reporting, escalating issues to the relevant IT support groups and following up until resolution is achieved.

Project Management:

• Perform system troubleshooting and develop technology tools (e.g., VBA macro) as required to support day-to-day responsibilities seamlessly.

• Assist Senior Analysts and Reporting Officer with reviewing deal templates for new product setup (OTC & Exchange), liaising with cross-functional teams in testing and sign off.

Reporting & PnL Analysis:

• Create and dispatch intraday, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly client MTM statements, collaborating with FO for creating bespoke Commodities Index linked notes daily client MTM statements.

• Prepare and monitor FO Supervisory (Late, Cancelled and Amended Trade Reports) for FO, MO and other stakeholders as required, analyzing and providing commentary to FO supervisors for large PnL impact on the Daily Cancelled & Amended Trades.

On-going / Administrative / Other:

• Ensure that daily and monthly procedures, as detailed in the group's procedures and standing orders, are strictly observed.

• Maintain and update operational procedures and PRIMA maps related to these functions on an ongoing basis.

• Proactively identify opportunities to further streamline processes, recommending cost-efficient and effective controls for Commodity trade processing with the introduction of new processes, products and systems.

• Initiate and implement recommendations for automation.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (BBA / BComm / BMath / BSc)

• Experience in Capital Markets Operation or Technology positions

• Experience in Openlink and/or OPICS systems

• Relevant industry experience with an emphasis on Electricity, Carbon, Oil, Gas, Precious and Base Metals Markets. Derivative product experience and understanding of physical and financial Commodities Markets

• Strong understanding of risk concepts and risk management practices
