About the Role:

Fitzrovia is a vertically integrated development and asset manager focused on Class-A and vintage-style apartment buildings. We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager or Digital Infrastructure Coordinator to join our team.

As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for reviewing program and design requirements using BIM tools to proactively anticipate critical constructability issues. You will provide daily coordination services based on design documents to deliver construction projects.

This role requires strong project management skills, ability to cultivate positive and effective relationships and communications with stakeholders, and excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs. Strong ability with Excel is essential.

You will also be responsible for formulating contingency plans with the Manager/Director, Digital Construction, and Construction team, preparing RFI's and related illustrations to document design drawing issues, shop drawing inquiries, conflicts, and interferences across various disciplines, and following up with Consultants and other third parties to resolve RFI's and drawing issues in a timely manner.

Job Description:

  • Review program and design requirements using BIM tools
  • Provide daily coordination services based on design documents
  • Formulate contingency plans with the Manager/Director, Digital Construction, and Construction team
  • Prepare RFI's and related illustrations to document design drawing issues
  • Follow up with Consultants and other third parties to resolve RFI's and drawing issues
  • Review Consultant Site Instruction drafts and provide necessary corrections
  • Develop 3D views and illustrations as requested by Fitzrovia, Project Management or Site Team
  • Create and maintain sequencing drawings for coordination of critical areas and site logistics
  • Follow and enforce standards established in the BIM Execution Plan (BxP)
  • Participate in research and development initiatives for the Fitzrovia team
  • Review and manage the construction schedule in conjunction with the construction management team
  • Develop and review tender packages for various trade scopes
  • Participate in project meetings with consultants, trades, and the construction management team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Additional education, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) Certification, will be considered an asset
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Construction industry, preferably at site
  • Knowledge of Autodesk is a must-have
  • Knowledge of construction processes, including phases, pre-construction and construction is mandatory
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to cultivate positive and effective relationships and communications with stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs
  • Strong ability with Excel is essential
