Responsibilities- Provide continuous quality patient care, adhering to all safety and health regulations and demonstrating safe work practices.
- Work under the direction of the RN to provide designated/delegated aspects of patient care, maintaining and cleaning equipment and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
- Utilize a positive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating excellent communication skills and participating as a supportive and contributing member of the healthcare team.
- Respond to codes as required and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Completed Grade XII or equivalent required.
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant course or currently enrolled in a University Nursing Program and having completed year two.
- Demonstrated ability to use appropriate body mechanics and transfer techniques, write, speak, and understand English.
