The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide direct client care, assisting with activities of daily living and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using equipment as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the Manager or designate
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
- Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and co-workers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook
The Health Care Aide will work in a variety of settings, including community, healthcare centers, and hospitals. The position involves extensive physical activity, including standing, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment. The successful candidate will be required to travel between client homes and may encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
