About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Engineer with expertise in integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate and extend the Backbase digital banking platform to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and development teams to deliver compelling products and services.
  • Transform business requirements into technical architecture.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale distributed systems.
  • Work with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of production-level experience in Java.
  • Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services and tools like XML, JSON, and RAML.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Unit Testing using JUnit.
  • Knowledge of application Servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss.
  • Strong grasp of Git, Subversion, and other source control technologies.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel.
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with credit unions or banks and integrating/tailoring digital banking platforms.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile Methodology, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Web Application Security (OWASP) and best practices for writing secure code.
  • Persistence frameworks like Hibernate.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • Databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or NoSQL.
