About the Role

Rome Group is seeking a seasoned Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization through its next chapter of growth and success. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for driving transformational change and positioning Rome Group as a national leader in family engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visionary Leadership: Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic direction for Rome Group, inspiring and guiding staff and stakeholders towards achieving our mission.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and other partners.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Develop and implement strategies to secure funding and resources necessary for Rome Group's sustainability and growth.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: Demonstrate strong competency in metrics and evaluation, ensuring data-driven decision-making to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous organizational improvement.
  • Financial Acumen: Ensure sound financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and risk management to protect Rome Group's assets.
  • Advocacy and Public Relations: Serve as the primary spokesperson, effectively promoting Rome Group and advocating for its mission and work within the community and beyond.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including administration, human resources, information technology, and employee coaching and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proven leadership and achievement in nonprofit or educational settings.
  • Passion for Rome Group's mission and vision.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Unquestioned integrity and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in preK-12 education.
  • Successful nonprofit fund development experience, especially in education or within the community.
  • Prior experience leading a nonprofit board through strategic planning.
Working Conditions
  • Monday to Friday daytime hours and occasional evening and weekend requirements.
  • Flexible working conditions, including hybrid options, available.
  • Valid Driver's License, automobile insurance, and access to transportation.
