Job Description:

As an Industrial Equipment Technician on our night shift premium team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our manufacturing equipment.


Working independently, you will operate and maintain at least one process, equipment, or system following autonomous maintenance standards. You will utilize your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance, meeting business needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  2. Comply with company policies and procedures regarding safety, GMP, 5S, and quality requirements.
  3. Evaluate and restore base conditions of equipment.
  4. Perform routine maintenance work, including inspection and identification and correction of abnormalities on equipment.
  5. Repair/replace defective machinery parts, perform equipment adjustment, and fabricate parts when required.
  6. Accurately complete paperwork, close WOs, create notifications, and PM completion.
  7. Participate actively in the correction of issues using Root Cause Analysis tools to eliminate breakdowns.
  8. Investigate machine malfunctions using testing equipment, technical manuals, and associated drawings.
  9. Actively participate and contribute to the development of IL6S tools and systems, including Equipment Criticality classification, Adjustment Points, Centerlines, Visual Controls, CIL, troubleshooting manuals, and technical expertise in teams.
  10. Actively participate in the DMS cycle of the plant.
  11. Carry out focused improvements to correct weaknesses and take steps to avoid major failures.
  12. Understand situation and measure number / frequency / severity cost / MTBF / minor stops, etc.
  13. Support PM pillar members to develop an AM training program.
  14. Promote improvement initiatives on the equipment following our Kaizen work process.
  15. Report any unsafe, unclean areas, behavior, or any problems that could cause substandard quality of production.
  16. Demonstrate personal and professional integrity.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • An Industrial Mechanic Trade 433A Certificate/License.
  • A High School diploma.
  • +2 years of experience as a line mechanic in packaging/processing/millwright position.
  • Experience operating machines with coaching.
  • Safety and quality standards for operating machines.
  • Fluent reading and writing skills, conversant in the language of communication as appropriate to the site.
  • Collaborating well in a diverse work environment.
