Role Overview
The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Investigations Assistant to provide specialized administrative support to the Investigations Unit in the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Investigators, Lead Investigators, and Managers, including processing fatality and serious injury reports, tracking prosecution recommendation reports, and compiling Disclosure (e-files) to the Crown's office.
- Assist with contract administration processes, including tracking and maintaining transcription requests and liaising with hospitals as needed.
- Provide system support for DASH (formerly CMIS), including database management and running reports.
- Coordinate travel, training, and accommodations arrangements.
- Support the Investigation Files team with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
Working Environment
The Investigations Assistant will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
