Job Title: Digital Communications Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Digital Communications Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative digital content team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our digital presence and creating engaging digital experiences that make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the Digital Communications Leader and Coordinator to implement and guide strategic plans for our public websites and intranet.
  • Collaborate with technical partners to continuously enhance and evolve our digital platforms.
  • Play a key role in improving user experiences and ensuring that our digital properties remain innovative, accessible, and effective.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, leading projects like content audits, redesigns, and website migrations.
  • Share insights and help shape decision-making through your work with data analytics and reporting.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A mix of education and hands-on experience is also considered.
  • A proven track record in leading and managing digital projects of varying scales, with expertise in content strategy, website governance, information architecture, and user experience design.
  • Strong proficiency in content management systems (preferably Drupal 8+ and SharePoint), alongside tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Figma, JIRA, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and a commitment to maintaining inclusive, accessible digital platforms.
