About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Lead to join our Communications team on a 12-month, maternity leave coverage. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing Pembina Institute's social media strategy and digital outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a holistic digital media strategy to advance Pembina Institute's brand and strategic goals.
  • Create and publish high-quality, engaging content for social media channels to raise brand profile and demonstrate expertise in key policy areas.
  • Track and schedule social media content to ensure efficient and effective coordination across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital campaigns and coordinate social media and email content.
  • Monitor and analyze social media platforms to optimize engagement and assess calls to action.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all Pembina Institute channels.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of social media assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in digital media and social media best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in social media or communications in a professional environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media and digital outreach strategies.
  • Proven skills in popular communications, copy-editing, online publishing, and multimedia.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with basic HTML editing, blogging, and online publishing.
  • Proven experience in media monitoring, web, and digital analytics.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics tools and social media scheduling software.
