About the Role:

Ainsworth is seeking a skilled HVAC Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will assist a Refrigeration Journeyman in the assembly, installation, and repair of HVAC/R equipment, products, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of HVAC/R-related equipment and components, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the overhaul and servicing of HVAC/R units and systems, utilizing knowledge of plumbing trade practices and methods.
  • Support the repair, replacement, and adjusting of worn or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water and vacuum pumps.
  • Collaborate with the team to install motors, thermostats, and humidistats, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
  • Support the Company's Quality System operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • High School degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
  • Enrolled in an HVAC/R Apprenticeship Program (3rd to 4th year) with conduit experience.
  • Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the plumbing trade.
  • Current Gas license G2 or greater.
  • A current and valid Ontario driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills an asset.
