About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Electrician to join our team at Plantech Control Systems Inc. As a key member of our electrical services team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance
    • Install electrical controls and panel boxes
    • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
    • Install underground wiring and cables
    • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
    • Splice, join and connect wires
    • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
  • Electrical System Design and Commissioning
    • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
    • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
    • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
    • Commission systems and components
  • Electrical Safety and Compliance
    • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
    • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
    • Conduct preventive maintenance programs
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Instruct apprentices
    • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
    Requirements
    • Education and Certifications
      • Electrician Trade Certification
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
    • Language and Work Environment
      • Fluency in English
      • 40 hours per week, permanent position
