About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Bar Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Handling: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and perform other maintenance tasks as needed.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
