About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Jon Smith Subs as a Kitchen Helper. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Handling: Assist in the preparation and packaging of food items, including portioning and wrapping foods, and maintaining accurate records of food quantities.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by serving customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in stocking refrigerators and salad bars, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
