Faculty of Social Work Tenure-Track Positions

The University of Regina invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Faculty of Social Work. We are seeking highly qualified candidates with a strong research focus in one of the following areas:

  • Critical Disability Studies/Disability Justice Perspectives
  • Dismantling Anti-Black Racism and Fostering Black Joy
  • Abolitionist Social Work
  • Indigenous and Decolonizing Child Welfare
  • Critical Perspectives on Trauma

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in diverse areas of social work practice, including direct social work practice, clinical social work, social policy, human rights, health, gender, aging, settlement and immigration, and Indigenous and decolonizing practices.

The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching at the BSW and MSW levels, conducting research, supervising graduate students, and contributing to the administrative structure of the Faculty of Social Work. A PhD in Social Work or a related area is required, with a record of research and teaching in social work practice, education, or policy. A completed PhD is preferred, but all but dissertation (ABD) will be considered.

The salary will be commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience. The appointment will begin on January 1, 2025, or July 1, 2025.
