Faculty of Social Work Tenure-Track Positions

The University of Regina invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Faculty of Social Work. Located in Regina and Saskatoon, our faculty is committed to preparing students for critical generalist social work practice with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach at the BSW and MSW levels
  • Conduct research in social work practice, education, or policy
  • Supervise graduate students
  • Contribute to the administrative structure of the Faculty of Social Work
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Social Work or a related area
  • Record of research and teaching in social work practice, education, or policy
  • Experience in direct social work practice, clinical social work, social policy, human rights, health, gender, aging, settlement, and immigration
Location

One position will be based in Regina, and one in Saskatoon. Applicants are asked to indicate their location preference in their cover letter.

Application Information

Applications are welcome from individuals with a PhD in Social Work or a related area, particularly those with a focus on critical disability studies, dismantling anti-Black racism, abolitionist social work, Indigenous and decolonizing child welfare, or critical perspectives on trauma.

The successful candidates will be appointed to a tenure-track position, with a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
