About the Opportunity

The Psychologist will be a key member of an interdisciplinary team, working collaboratively to provide assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and psychotherapy services. The incumbent will conduct comprehensive assessments of violence risk, personality, and cognitive skills, as well as provide treatment through individual and group settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological services to patients within the Psychiatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and provide consultation services as needed
  • Participate in predoctoral internship programs and supervise practicum students
About You

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist who possesses advanced psychotherapy skills and training in ISTDP. The ideal candidate will have a recognized MSc in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program and be registered or eligible for registration with the NSBEP. A minimum of two years relevant clinical experience is preferred.

Nova Scotia Health offers a competitive salary range of $37.31 - $49.05 per hour, plus benefits and a defined benefit pension plan. Successful candidates may also be eligible for recruitment incentives based on qualifying criteria.
