About the Opportunity:

Perenti Group, a leading global mining services company, is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at the Hemlo Operations in Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems and equipment underground.
  • Carry out scheduled electrical servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Identify and organize resources required for each job, including tools and personnel, to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Diagnose and anticipate potential problems or failures, and provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Read and interpret service and spare parts manuals.
  • Perform regular inspections of systems and required tools.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop and at job sites.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely and ensuring the safety of others.
  • Ontario Provincial Trade License 309A (Red Seal preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in an underground mine.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and must be computer/systems literate.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
