About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team in New Westminster, B.C. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to clients with substance use issues, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support in a supervised setting, monitoring clients' physical and psychological status, and assisting with medical care as needed
  • Perform intake and discharge duties, gathering personal information and completing biopsychosocial assessments to determine client eligibility for services
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including medication records and client files
  • Reassess client needs, goals, and benefits of the program on an ongoing basis, offering support and direction as needed
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in emergency response situations, including overdoses, heart attacks, and assaults, following established policies and procedures
  • Provide supportive counseling and guidance to clients and families, identifying needs and referring to primary care providers and other professionals as needed
  • Identify and connect clients with community resources, services, and education to meet their needs and improve their quality of life
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Substance Use Certificate
  • One year's recent related experience working with clients with substance use issues, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Successful completion of St. John's Ambulance Safety Orientated First Aid Certificate and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Health care level or equivalent
