Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Manager to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all site license conditions relating to CSA N and associated NFPA codes and standards related to the fire protection program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate all fire incidents and communicate reportable incidents to internal and external stakeholders and agencies in a timely manner.
  • Participate in fire protection and Beyond Design Basis Event exercises.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing processes and protocols and recommend solutions to resolve.
  • Interface with external fire service agencies, including CNSC, COG, and US Fire agencies.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics.
  • Experience in the design, development, or operation of a nuclear facility or industrial environment associated with the design, development, operation, or maintenance of industrial systems and equipment.
  • Ability to solve problems, provide advice and guidance, and make recommendations during the design, commissioning, and operation of a nuclear facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of English to prepare and review clear and concise reports and recommendations.
  • Experience in the development, maintenance, or production of nuclear materials or components.
