Job Description
As a Produce Department Manager at Loblaw, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the produce department within a store. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of the produce department, including inventory management, merchandising, and employee supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of department performance, including sales data and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient stock replenishment and maximize sales opportunities.
- Train and develop department associates to provide exceptional customer service and promote product knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage expenses, and assist in budget preparation to optimize department performance.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop associates. Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting, is essential. You must also demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
