Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 per annum (including 11th step)

Job Description


This role involves working with the Network and Telecommunication team to ensure seamless connectivity across the Corporation's indoor cable plant. Key responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting network cabling infrastructure to meet industry standards.


Additionally, you will act as a technical reference point for division members, develop processes to enhance client productivity, and provide direction to Technology Specialists.



  • Assist in project implementation, deployment, and support of new hardware and software solutions;
  • Test, package, and distribute applications, software updates, and fixes to computers enterprise-wide;
  • Provide technical guidance to IT staff on hardware and software solutions;
  • Maintain the deployment management system for all drivers and hardware;
  • Review, prioritize, and assign call tickets to technical support staff;
  • Create documentation on technology configuration and share information with support teams;
  • Support core IT systems and perform other similar duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • A high school diploma plus an additional program of over two years or equivalent in Computer Sciences / Engineering Technology or related discipline;
  • Over four years of progressive experience in a technical support environment;
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license (asset);
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification is an asset;
  • In-depth knowledge of client-server software, computer hardware, Crestron systems, Microsoft Windows OS, Citrix, Apple Mac OS, Microsoft System Centre, Microsoft Office, TCP/IP, Mobile device management, TEM systems administration, Apple iPad/iPhone IOS, Android Tablet and Phone devices;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support procedures, including automated call logging and issue trouble-shooting, analysis and resolution processes;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service (asset);
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team (asset).
