Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work and related duties in various fields, including Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urology, and Microbiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Technologist to ensure high-quality laboratory services.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to report test results and provide clinical information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services and patient care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science course in Medical Technology.
  • Current registration as a member of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen perception and good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
