Senior Manager, Programs

As a Senior Manager, Programs, you will play a key role in our team's success. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include participating in strategic and tactical planning sessions, planning and leading management team meetings, and guiding Managers to ensure that unit objectives are achieved. You will also be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and reporting on unit operational plans, including strategic, tactical, budgetary, utilization, and profitability of unit operations. Additionally, you will assist with managing budget, including profit and loss responsibility, and may manage vendor relationships. You will also prepare and review monthly billing reports for client invoicing, project strategic management, and client account management. Furthermore, you will participate in the enhancement of the overall business, including forecasting, new business development, internal and external communication, efficiencies, staffing, and client services. You will also assist with establishing goals for business unit growth, attract new business, and create innovative business expansion and/or new services. Your performance standards for business unit Managers will be developed, and you will measure success against these standards. You will also assist with proposal writing, contracting, client presentations, and pricing. You will stay abreast of industry trends and important pending legislation impacting our business. You will identify and collaborate with internal and external resources and experts. You will develop plans for structuring and staffing of unit and review and revise plans based on changes in demand. You will provide on-going management, annual performance reviews, objective setting, and training plans for all direct reports. You will provide leadership to Program Manager Team and participate in supporting development of product teams, as required. Overall responsibility for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services will be yours. You will also identify areas for risk and foster proactive, continued quality improvement. Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments. The Senior Manager, Programs will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- University science/healthcare degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry;
- Minimum 2 years' experience in management;
- Minimum 1-2 years client management experience;
- Knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of post-marketing studies, Health Canada and/or risk management programs;
- General knowledge of reimbursement and patient assistance programs, operational policies and processes, and clinical research;
- Bilingual (French/English) an asset.

- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry;

- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and strong presentation skills;
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrates a followership model and develop team's capabilities;
- Effective organizational skills; attention to detail, demonstrates critical thinking to provide out of box solutions;
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and make concrete decisions;
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;

- Critical thinking skills;
- Strong pharmaceutical & biotechnology business knowledge, including client management and healthcare professional communications;
- Proficient working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs.
The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients or peers from cross-functional teams.
