Financial Analyst

About the Role
The Avison Young Calgary office is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team of senior Multifamily and Investment Brokers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing complex financial models, analyzing market data, and providing strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models using Argus and Excel to analyze market trends and provide insights to clients
- Assist with deal structuring, scheduling, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders
- Conduct market research and gather economic, demographic, and real estate market data to inform project deliverables
- Prepare proposals, offering materials, and presentation materials for new or existing assignments and pursuits
- Support the daily management and workflow of the production pipeline
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of regulations and adapt to changes quickly
- Assist with reviewing legal documents, such as leases, loans, and engagement letters
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, economic metrics, and research processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior grammar and business writing skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Ability to work independently and within a team on a wide variety of projects
- Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
- Advanced internet research capabilities
- Professional, entrepreneurial, high-energy individual with an aptitude to learn new concepts and software
