We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team at TRANSIT, a leading wholesale distribution warehouse for automotive parts in Eastern Canada.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a close-knit team and contribute to the growth of a dynamic Quebec-based company. As a Financial Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of various financial tasks, including accounting entries, financial statements, and GST/QST/HST filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting and Financial Tasks:
    • Participate in the preparation of month-end/year-end files and financial statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly analysis reports and general ledger entries.
    • Complete GST/QST/HST and EHC filings and payments.
  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Code and enter invoices, process payments for foreign and local suppliers.
    • Receive calls and follow up on supplier requests, create and maintain supplier and client accounts in the accounting software.
  • Cash Flow Monitoring:
    • Prepare daily cash flow reports, perform bank reconciliations, reconcile credit card statements.
  • Accounts Receivable Support:
    • Prepare and make deposits, receive calls and follow up on client inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accounting (DEC).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in an accounting firm is an asset.
  • Advanced level of French.
  • Intermediate/advanced level of English required due to communication with English-only business partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think logically with data.

Salary Range: $24.66 - $35/hour.
