Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring comfort and care.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients during outdoor recreational activities to promote well-being.
  • Assist in the cleaning, sterilization, setup, and assembly of medical apparatus.
  • Perform various duties related to patient comfort and care.
  • Support personal care tasks as needed.
  • Manage bedpan supply and disposal.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Serve meals and assist patients with feeding when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patients' living spaces.
  • Oversee patients' exercise routines to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Respond to call signals to address patients' needs promptly.
  • Deliver first aid in emergency situations as required.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week. The primary language of communication will be English.
