About the Role

We are seeking a Patient Service Centre Assistant to join our team in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth collection of patient information, accurate data entry, and maintaining a safe and efficient specimen collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients, review requisitions, and collect patient information
  • Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and test results into our system
  • Accept and reconcile patient specimen drop-offs
  • Cash collection and reconciliation for uninsured testing
  • Print and deliver reports to physician offices
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies and prepare personal time sheets
  • Perform all assigned activities according to LifeLabs policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
