This role reports to Business Manager - EML North America.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support local and cross-functional project teams, including associate R&D project managers, in projects with limited complexity and/or sub-projects of a complex project.
  • Motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all committed targets.
  • Foster a positive team environment, technical excellence, and continuous attention to quality and built-in quality practices.
  • Ensure objectives, priorities, key decisions, and status are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned project(s).
  • Oversee/facilitate the development and management of cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives for projects.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies between projects and project level constraints to realize specified benefits.
  • Ensure appropriate prioritization of requirements within a project by partnering with relevant business units or other customers.
  • Evaluate customer value in the projects and act to ensure customer satisfaction and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Engage stakeholders in defining value and integrate feedback into activities.
  • Ensure that project activities are effectively prioritized, estimated, and planned.
  • Monitor and control progress on the plan to ensure achievement of commitments and targeted milestones/stage-gates.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of available resource capacity and proactively addresses critical resource bottlenecks and project constraints.
  • Analyze project budget and estimates.
  • Monitor and control progress, cost/financials, and quality.
  • Reports to and takes directives from the steering committee or other governing body and provides them and other key stakeholders with regular and open communication to ensure transparency and awareness of progress and issues.
  • Ensures issues, conflicts, and impediments are resolved at the appropriate level (i.e., team, project), escalating them as required.
  • Applies appropriate project management tools to manage and optimize execution and value delivery.
  • Utilizes the appropriate metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide early detection of project deviations, and facilitates data-driven decision-making and transparency.
  • Formalize acceptance of project deliverables and closure of all project elements based on the definition of done.
  • Manage uncertainties and risks: Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks.
  • Ensure that changes, risks, and issues are properly assessed, managed, and communicated.
  • Documents key assumptions and corresponding risks.
  • Ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
  • Serves as the key contact and escalation point for project stakeholders.
  • Effectively engages and communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired buy-in, understanding and support.
  • Clients can benefit from our work through enhanced product offerings, improved processes, and increased efficiency.
