Tunnel Lead Engineer Job Description

Italferr S.p.A., a leading engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Lead Engineer to join our team for the Pape Tunnel Underground Section project in Toronto, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and manage tunnel construction projects
  • Apply expertise in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and tunneling technology to create safe, efficient, and cost-effective tunnel solutions
  • Coordinate team resources to produce design packages, including drawings, reports, and calculations
  • Define methodology for tunnel design in collaboration with partners, adhering to local, national, and international standards and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
  • At least 10 years' experience in underground infrastructure design, particularly with TBM tunnels
  • Preferred Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) license or ability to obtain a temporary license

We are looking for a talented professional with a strong background in geotechnical engineering and tunneling technology to lead our team in delivering high-quality tunnel construction projects.
