We are seeking an experienced Benefits Analyst to join our team at People Corporation. The successful candidate will provide group benefits consulting support, including design and financial management for existing Enterprise and large clients and prospects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in group benefits and knowledge of Canadian benefits industry and group benefits financial underwriting requirements for types of benefits plans.
This role involves contributing to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients, leading annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers, and conducting experience reporting, budget projections and reviewing plan financial performance.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing financial statements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting agreements, conducting marketings by preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons, recommendations, and gathering data and determining cost impact for plan design changes.
Additionally, this role involves monitoring carrier/provider services standards, supporting the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetings, participating in industry conferences, seminars, etc., and building relationships with clients, carriers, and internal, cross-functional teams.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy, a drive to manage and prioritize competing demands, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
