Food Service Worker

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Food Service Worker to join our team at Harvest Cafe.
Job Summary:The Food Service Worker will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, and assisting with food preparation and serving.
Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a timely and friendly manner.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
- Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure recycling is properly sorted and stored.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Certifications: Smart Serve certification an asset.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
