Food Service Worker

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Food Service Worker to join our team at Harvest Cafe.
Job Summary:The Food Service Worker will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, and assisting with food preparation and serving.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining area, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Serving: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure recycling is properly sorted.
- General Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and perform other general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Certifications: Smart Serve certification an asset.
Work in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
