Job Title: Network and Telecommunications Engineer

At Alstom, we are seeking a highly skilled Network and Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and validating network and telecommunication solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy integrated radio and TCP/IP networks
  • Utilize licensed and unlicensed voice and data radios, LAN/WAN networks, and back office servers
  • Collaborate with the design, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including System Functional Specifications and Architecture Design descriptions
  • Perform capacity analysis and troubleshoot network issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in networking or telecommunications
  • 10+ years of experience in network design and deployment
  • P. Eng certification or in progress
Desired Characteristics:
  • CCNA/CCNP/CCDE/CCIE certifications desirable
  • Knowledge of network security and policies
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN
