Roseway Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our Inpatient Care team. As a hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing a panel of patients, providing care and coordination of community-based care, and operating within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a panel of hospitalist patients, providing high-quality care and coordination of community-based care.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Expected Hours

As a hospitalist, you will be on call for your patients 24/7, with minimal overnight calls and rare evening calls. The position requires coverage for 1 or 2 weeks per 4-week cycle, with the potential to work additional weeks as availability permits.

Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or proof of alternative coverage.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
