Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker is a vital member of the home care team at Qualicare, Orillia/Barrie. Under the supervision of the Care Coordinator, this role performs various personal care services to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks to meet individual dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through light housekeeping duties.
  • Accompany clients on outings and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
  • Assist with shopping and errands, promoting independence and convenience.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients, ensuring their mobility and accessibility.
  • Document and chart client progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
  • Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Ability to travel around the location territory.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
