Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our Long Term Care team at Spencer House Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring they live fulfilling lives with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, as per individual plans of care.
  • Deliver resident care and services, including aiding residents with communication and connections, administering medication under supervision, and ensuring access to mobility and assistive devices.
  • Support resident comfort and well-being through ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as oral and dental care.
Requirements
  • Completed Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care.
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors.
