Accounting Clerk IV - Full-Time Opportunity

This role reports to the Manager Accounting and Tax and is responsible for a variety of functions across the Operating unit, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable/Cash Office. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the university's procurement card program, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  2. Invoicing external entities and reconciling financial transactions.
  3. Providing analytical support and ad hoc projects to the department.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a two-year Business Administration diploma, which includes intermediate level accounting courses, and 2-4 years' related work experience. A combination of suitable education and experience may be considered. Required qualifications include:

  1. Demonstrable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  2. Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  3. Experience using the Banner Finance system.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where the incumbent must organize and schedule multiple activities to meet deadlines, pay keen attention to details leading to a high degree of accuracy, and contribute to department success through ad hoc projects and priorities. Candidates must possess excellent communication and analytical skills, be service-oriented, and able to work independently.

Salary Information

Starting Salary Range: $4,469.00 monthly

Full Salary Range: $4,921.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 8)
