Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Subway Nanaimo South Island Hwy. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restaurant Operations: Ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant, including managing inventory, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience and leaves the restaurant satisfied.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent service.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to employees, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Support for Diversity and Inclusion: Participate in initiatives that support diversity and inclusion, such as providing accommodations for employees with disabilities, supporting newcomers and refugees, and promoting a welcoming work environment for all employees.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
